Compare Our Fees
We believe in openness and honesty when it comes to fees. At the moment, sellers of exceptional property do not seem to have a lot of choice. Virtually all the agents catering to this end of the market act in the same way – maintain the same expensive chain of prime high street locations and charge similar fees. We are different.
Independent research carried out in March 2007 exclusively for Exceptional Homes showed that the fees quoted by the main central London estate agents for a £1 million property in central London varied very little.

Of the agents we surveyed, all but three charged the same 2.5% for a sole agency contract, with only one of the sample quoting a sole agency fee of 2%.
Traditional estate agents are not keen to publicize their fees. In fact, of all the agents in the table above only Exceptional Homes publishes its fees on its website (or anywhere else).
Property prices at the top of the market have risen sharply over the past decade and yet agents’ fees have remained constant as a percentage of the asking price. In 2001, there were only 3,000 properties in the UK valued at £1million. Today there are 89,000.*
The business of transacting property has not become more difficult – despite what traditional agents might claim. High quality portals such as www.primelocation.com have become the first port of call for people searching for new property as the internet has replaced the print media and walk by traffic that were the main stay of the traditional agent).
We believe that our C21st marketing methods are much better equipped to deliver sophisticated presentation of exceptional homes in today’s world.
